Likely late 1930's these kapok filled boating safty aids were found in a pre War Coast Gaurd footlocker. Buttons a bit tarnished and one life saver jacket is a bit chomped, but overall a great maritime display from the depression period. One label reads Kapo Products Ciebasilk Boston Water Safety Life Vest. Another label states Prime Japara Kapok. A bit earlier than the Mae West life vest personal flotation device also named PFD, lifejacket. Price is for ALL 3 together. These would make a great cruise ship Bon Voyage or Flyboy gift! Captain don't leave port with out them.
Real antique pony blanket made from horse hide. This tanned 'tique is still supple after all these years and ready for those sleigh bells. In days gone by, most carriages and other horse drawn vehicals were a rather frigid affair. Open top, wind rain , the elements were kept at bay with the pony blanket. This chestnut brown equestrian coverlet has one patch of slipped missing hair. Horses do not have fur. It has a velvety black backing in very good shape as well. Perfect for the re enactor and interperative historian. It even looks great as a throw rug. Better then a bear and more silky.

Likely from a high end cruise line, they are not typical of the myriad of maritime remembrances these great ships offered. Engraved lead intaglio on heavy wood base block for printing the details are in reverse and a bit hard to photograph, but in person are really neat. This large antique stone ware jug circa 1890 - 1910 may remember moonshine whiskey, hard cider and other hillbilly treats, but likely held day to day liquids like spring water vinegar and oils.
